Under Town & Village Renewal funding we completed a Feasibility Study looking at options for continuing the Castle Trail, down to the Slob (saltmarsh) and finishing at one of the beaches or at Fethard Dock. The report which included a flood risk assessment, topographical study, ecological study, archaeology impact assessment, wave climate study and geotechnical conditions. The Report has recommended a preferred option for extending the trail and this report will form the basis of future grant applications.
