American Tea Party

An American Tea Party was held in February 2020 in St Mary’s Hall. The community came out in force for a wonderful evening with food being provided by Hook Lighthouse. The event is even more special given that two weeks later the first Covid-19 lockdown was announced.

Buy Local Christmas Shopping Evening

Held in the Old School House, hosted by Tina Wilkinson, this event was a lovely seasonal shopping event showcasing local producers with nibbles and door prizes.

Table Quizzes

There is nothing like a table quiz to bring the competitive spirit of the village to the surface! We have hosted many table quizzes over the last few years in Neville’s Bar and we are looking forward to resuming them soon!

Switch ‘N’ Bitch event

A “new to you” sale held in St Mary’s Hall in July 2019 was a huge success. Not only great retail therapy, it was THE social event of the summer. All proceeds were split between Wexford Rape Crisis and Fethard Community Development Association.

Mayoral Election Campaign

In 2018 Fethard Community Development Association ran a Mayoral Election. Candidates were nominated by local businesses and these candidates had to get as many votes as possible. The launch event was held in Loftus Hall in September and the Inauguration Party was in Grange Ville House in November. It was a closely fought contest with the eventual winner being Pirate Pat, representing Hook Lighthouse.
